Illustrations

Every illustration in this volume is original hand-drawn artwork created for this manuscript in a classic ink-and-watercolor botanical plate style. Each plate was drawn from a reference photograph and checked for botanical accuracy — leaf shape and arrangement, flower structure, bark, root, and seed appearance — so you can rely on it when identifying ingredients, including ones found in the wild. Because all of the artwork is original to this book, there are no third-party photo licensing concerns with this edition. A reminder that stands for every plate: illustrations alone are never enough for safe wild identification — confirm every plant in person with a knowledgeable local expert and at least two reliable field guides.
